Association of Canadian Medical Colleges

The Association’s governance consists of a Board of Directors made up of the Deans of the sixteen schools and the Chairs of four standing committees: Undergraduate Medical Education, Postgraduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education, and Research and Graduate Studies. The Association provides co-ordination and communication among the medical schools, and between the medical schools and other stakeholders in the health care and research systems.

Canadian Medical Association (cma.ca)

Canadian Resident Matching Service

The Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) is a not-for-profit, fee-for-service organization that works in close cooperation with medical schools and students to provide a computer match for entry into accredited postgraduate medical training. CaRMS provides a good way for applicants to decide where to train and for program directors to decide which applicants they wish to enroll in accredited postgraduate medical training.

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) is a national, private, nonprofit organization established in 1929 to oversee the medical education of specialists in Canada. The College is not a licensing or disciplinary body; its mission is educational and dedicated to setting standards. The RCPSC ensures that the training and evaluation of medical and surgical specialists in 56 specialties and 2 special programs attain the highest standards. International Council of Nurses

The International Council of Nurses is a federation of national nurses’ associations (NNAs), representing nurses in more than 120 countries.

The World Medical Association

This is an international organization representing physicians. It was founded in 1947 and currently has more than 70 countries as members. Information on the site is available in English, French, and Spanish.

FDI World Dental Federation

The FDI World Dental Federation is the professional, independent, worldwide organization of dentistry. Federation Dentaire Internationale (FDI) celebrated its 100 years history in year 2000. International Medical Informatics Association

The International Medical Informatics Association is an independent organization established under Swiss law in 1989. The organization was established in 1967 as Technical Committee 4 of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). The working language of IMIA is English.

International Pharmaceutical Federation

International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) is a world-wide federation of national pharmaceutical (professional and scientific) associations, which has a mission to represent and serve pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences around the globe. Through its member associations, FIP connects, represents and serves more a million pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists around the world. FIP was founded in The Hague, The Netherlands, in 1912 and still has its Central Office in The Hague.
